I’m very pleased with the quality of the papers I’ve been reading over the past week, most of which come from my real estate law course. The abundance of high grades made me wonder whether I’m going soft–there’s always a reason to second-guess what I do–but I’ve decided the results are not explained by erosion of my capacity for critical review. Most of these students are seniors, cognizant of the level of performance expected of them in their jobs and well-trained to deliver when necessary. What prompts this post is the paper I just read on eminent domain, which is more thorough, and far more interesting, than the section on eminent domain in the assigned text. Future real estate law students should read this paper, along with a half-dozen others of similar quality. I will ask their authors for permission to post copies on AFC Legal Resources to use in future courses.
Well-done. I’m proud to be your teacher.
